Police forces looking to place unmanned surveillance drones in the skies over British cities still need to overcome public fears about a growing ‘Big Brother’ state, an influential police officer has warned.

Superintendent Richard Watson reportedly told defence industry manufactures that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), similar to those used by the military, were “part of the future” for British policing.
