It is too late to stop the madness, the counter drone industry will be milking airport closures in Denmark and Norway happening right now for all they are worth.

Video of the purported drone circulating the interwebs has already been shown by the good people at Metabunk to be Socata TB-20 Trinidad flying past.

I am adding this today to make sure there is at least a tiny reference to the true story whilst we watch BS and nest feathering roll out.

The managers that called this out as unidentified drones need to be called out for their actions. Flight safety cannot just be held up as a magic bullet to resolve them of responsibility for the chaos they have caused.

There is no credible evidence of any drones near either airport.

But there never needed to be. Once the call has been made excuses can be invented.

No stranger to drones around airfields controversy Ian Hudson, adds the following:-

As yet no official video or other evidence has been provided and the media have used a video of an aircraft which will likely prove to be a civilian aircraft at height rather than anything unusual. Given the EU has Remote ID and airports should have C-UAS including an EO/IR sensor and given police helicopters have EO/IR authorities should be able to provide concrete video evidence of drones unless they’re utterly incompetent
