Overwatch Aero Awarded Department of the Interior Contract for Emergency Fire UAS Services

We are proud to share that Overwatch Aero has been awarded a Department of the Interior (DOI) contract for Contractor-Owned/Contractor-Operated (CO/CO) On-Call and Exclusive Use UAS Emergency Fire Flight Services under an IDIQ vehicle that covers the lower 48 contiguous States.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support wildfire response efforts where speed, persistence, and dependable intelligence really matter. Our DOI Type 1 UAS (DOW Group 3), is built for exactly these kinds of missions, with persistent ISR, advanced satellite and meshed communications, autonomous VTOL performance, and proven capability in demanding environments.

This award also reflects what we believe is one of the most exciting parts of our work: taking defense-grade autonomous systems and applying them to public safety missions. It’s a meaningful example of dual-use technology delivering real operational value.
