Abu Dhabi – UAS Flight Test Support Engineer / Pilot

The UAS Flight Test Support Engineer generally has overall responsibility for the planning of a specific flight test phase, which includes preparing the test plans in conjunction with other analytical and/or systems engineers

Main Responsibilities:
· Ability to accurately and safely operate a fixed-wing RC aircraft in pure manual mode
· Flight Test planning, co-ordinating, participation, analysis and reporting
· Work closely with the engineering design and certification teams to ensure all planned flight test activity meets requirements and company timescales
· Instrumentation definition, installation, operation and maintenance
· Maintain documentation and data management for all flight test activity
· Review supporting safety assessments, flight test documentation, operating procedures and limitations
· Participate in the development of aircraft flight manuals, checklists and related publications
· Ability to perform a UAS aircraft pre-flight inspection and maintenance
· Ability to operate a UAS Ground Station and provide critical flight parameters to the UAS Test Pilot

Qualifications:
· Verbal & written communication skills in English
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Driving License
· Willingness to work remotely at UAE testing locations (outdoors)
· Mission Planner and/or Q Ground Control operation
· RC Fixed Wing Pilot
· Flight Test Data Reduction using Matlab or similar tools

Experience:
· Minimum 7 years UAS system testing and operation
· Any relevant Engineering Degree
· ICAO/EASA competency level 2 Flight Test Engineer/pilot, or equivalent
· Experience with fixed-wing RC Hobby aircraft, design, manufacture, test, operate and maintain
