UAV SOLUTIONS, INC. Delivers sUAS Antenna Kits, location beacons, and launcher support equipment to Special Operations Forces
JESSUP, MD – September 14, 2021 – Today, UAV Solutions, Inc. (UAVS) announced that the company has delivered a variety of sUAS support equipment to Special Operations Forces. These items include Medium Range Antenna Kits (MRAK), Location Beacon Kits and Pneumatic Launch System (PLS). While each of these products was originally designed to support the Puma sUAS system, they are versatile enough to accommodate a variety of current operational air vehicles or newly developed products. Deliveries of the MRAK, Beacon Kit and PLS began in November of 2019, with hundreds of units being sold to date.
The MRAK, a high gain antenna kit, has plug-and-play abilities with the Puma sUAS ground control station and has the potential to double the communication range to 40 kilometres. The Location Beacon Kits contain ground and remote communication units that provide audible and visual recognition, as well as GPS location information on the included Android device.
These units are useful when retrieving high-value equipment in austere terrain. The PLS provides a straightforward pneumatic launching solution with granular adjustment for vehicle weight and changes in density altitude. This system proves to be much more efficient than legacy bungee or spring systems. The entire system can be unpacked and ready for operation in less than five minutes, with a cycle time between launches of less than one minute.
