QuestUAV have had some different launch styles in the past but their stick for launch takes the biscuit.
The sub 2kg survey flying wing is held aloft with a stick (I expect there is a more fancy term for it) woken up with a shake and then flicked into the air. The stick giving you extra leverage, much like the ones you use for throwing balls for dogs further. It also keeps that nasty spinning sharp thing at the back away from your hands.
Its so obvious when you see it but I have never seen anyone else do it.
