SEATTLE — City attorney Pete Holmes has charged a man with reckless endangerment after his drone crashed during the Seattle Pride Parade in June and knocked a woman unconscious.
“Charging reckless endangerment is not new territory; however…this is the first charge of reckless endangerment regarding a drone that we’ve charged in recent memory,” said Craig Sims, criminal division chief at the Seattle City Attorney’s Office.
Paul Skinner, 37, of Oak Harbor, faces a gross misdemeanor charge that could carry a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail and a $5,000 fine.
His preliminary intake hearing is scheduled for November, according to the Seattle City Attorney’s Office.
