Bruce Gjovig Joins the SmartC2 Advisory Board

Grand Forks, ND – Smart C2 is pleased to announce that Bruce Gjovig, founding Director of the UND Center for Innovation, has joined the SmartC2 Board of Advisors to provide entrepreneurial support and business advice with his unique North Dakota flair.
A successful entrepreneur and coach for many years, Gjovig created the UND Center for Innovation in 1984 to foster and promote entrepreneurial ventures, which 30 years later number over 750 businesses. He has also helped entrepreneurs raise over $200 Million in new capital since then, and has encouraged many of them to locate in his entrepreneurial incubator near the outstanding resources of UND and greater Grand Forks community.
“We are thrilled to have Bruce Gjovig join our Advisory Board”, says Janet Ahlgren, Chair of the SmartC2 Board of Directors, “not only for his unwavering support of entrepreneurs, but also his prodigious network across the business and political landscape of North Dakota. He continues to actively open doors for us and share the business connections that are invaluable to a startup endeavor.” Gjovig is also widely known for his forward thinking ideas for creating jobs and expanding business in and beyond North Dakota.
“We have benefited greatly from establishing SmartC2 in the growing UAS cluster in the Skalicky wing of the Center for Innovation,” says Stuart Rudolph, SmartC2’s President and CEO. “We strategically located SmartC2 in the Center to take advantage of the highly skilled UND aerospace graduates, the veterans and retirees from the Grand Forks Air Force Base, and the supportive business atmosphere in the state. SmartC2 needs employees with aviation, operations, and business knowledge, and Bruce and the Center for Innovation are positioning us right in the middle of what we need.”
