Alaska UASIG Agenda and Meeting Update

The Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration (ACUASI) and the University of Alaska Fairbanks regret to inform you that the 2013 UAS Interest Group Meeting in Anchorage is canceled. The Federal government shutdown has resulted in loss of speakers, very slow registration, and cancellation of registration by attendees who depend on federal funds. From what we see in the news, there’s no end to the shutdown in sight. That, combined with the requirements of deposit due dates for meeting services, we had no choice but to make this very hard decision. Since a significant value of this annual meeting is the interaction among key people within our industry, knowing we would miss an important group seemed unfair to those who would attend expecting to find that.

With the expectation the federal budget issues will be resolved, we do plan to reschedule for spring 2014. Information about where and when will be out in the next month or so. We hope that you will be available for the event.
