Fort Huachuca PGSS system down

A tethered persistent ground surveillance system monitoring the Mexican border at Fort Huachuca  has broken free.

The balloon came down in a Sierra Vista suburb  city residents who find pieces of the aerostat should leave them alone and call the fort’s operation center at 520-533-2291 or the Sierra Vista police at 520-458-3311, officials said. To report damage or make a claim, call the fort’s claims examiner at 520-533-0584.
