Versatile 3D Or 2D Tele-presence Device Using 3D Goggles

The Transporter3D is a real time video converter designed to interface the Oculus Rift or other 3D video goggles with live video giving the most immersive birds eye view ever.  View the video in either 2D or 3D using existing analogue hardware and converts it to digital without noticeable lag between what the camera sees and what you see.  The Transporter 3D bridges a gap that has been vast for years and with the new focus on truly immersive Virtual Reality, new goggles now have larger fields of vision and 3D capability.  It is fully configurable to adapt with almost any camera and provides the real-time performance required for interactive tele-prescence. With the Oculus Rift and the Transporter3d, it now gives UAVs or ROVs pilots an unprecedented 110 degree horizontal field-of-view of live remotely transmitted video.  Using the Rift also gives the head tracking sensors that gamers need to be accurate and converts it to be used with existing transmitters to create accurate and natural camera movements.  Use this for land, sea or air for the best current out of body experience on the market.

Over the years we pushed the tele-presence technology further with force feedback joysticks (ForceFly) and aerial combat simulation systems (DogFighter).  When the Oculus Rift was born it was the obvious direction for FPV tele-presence.  The Rift technology presented some challenges to adapt to conventional FPV equipment.  We set to work solving the problems, never compromising on our initially stated goals or on the quality that EMR Laboratories is known for.  Once we solved the big challenges we took to flight, ringing out the technology (think multi-rotor speeder bikes), studying the experience and revising the requirements.  We diverged from our normal development route and decided to crowd source the final design – asking the community what features would make them love the Transporter3D as much as we do
