Orqa Manufacturing Capacity Rises to 500K Products Annually at HQ as Rapid Expansion Continues

Orqa has announced a major expansion of its drone manufacturing capacity, scaling annual output from 290K products today to 500K by the end of 2026 thanks to a series of significant deals. This increase in production directly supports Orqa’s mission to provide European and Allied nations with true sovereign drone capability.

The announcement comes as the EU moves beyond the procurement of individual drone systems and towards the creation of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, a framework that crosses borders to build an international sovereign industrial base. Orqa is one of just 18 founding members of the alliance that will shape the next-generation defence and resilience capabilities based on drone and counter-drone systems.

The existing relationship between Orqa and Ukrainian company General Cherry – agreed earlier this year – to create a sovereign manufacturing capacity for interceptor drones makes full use of General Cherry’s unrivalled battlefield knowledge and experience, and strengthens the already deep bond between Orqa and Ukraine.

Drone capability comes from having the right industrial system behind it, characterized by a sovereign supply chain, local manufacturing, and the ability to train, deploy, and replace drones at the speed required by modern combat operations, where the rate of attrition demands full-scale transformation.”

By focusing on vertical integration, Orqa maintains strict control over the critical components integrated into its systems. This full-stack approach eliminates dependence on politically sensitive, insecure, or unreliable supply chains such as China. Consequently, Orqa can quickly adapt to evolving operational needs while mitigating strategic vulnerabilities. Commenting on becoming a founder member of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, Kovacevic added, “Ukraine has demonstrated that successful drone capability depends upon a continuous connection between operational experience, engineering and production.
