Manna Becomes First to Receive a SAIL III Mark Certificate

We are proud to announce that Manna has become the first company to receive a SAIL III Mark Certificate from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. As an important technical and regulatory milestone, it supports the future scaling of our air delivery service by reducing the level of technical assessment required for future deployments.

The SAIL III Mark Certificate relates to the aircraft itself, confirming that it has been independently validated against the relevant technical requirements. This differs from the SAIL III Operational Authorisation we announced recently, which approved Manna to conduct advanced drone operations.

By independently validating the aircraft, future operational applications will not require the same level of technical assessment each time. This allows the regulatory process to focus more directly on the proposed operation and its operating environment, creating a more efficient pathway for expansion while supporting the safe and responsible scaling of advanced air delivery services into new locations.

We would like to thank the team at the UK Civil Aviation Authority for their professionalism, technical expertise and constructive engagement throughout the assessment process. We would also like to thank Marshall, in their role as a UK CAA-approved Recognised Assessment Entity for Flightworthiness (RAE(F)), for leading the independent assessment process, as well as Avtrain for their continued regulatory guidance and support throughout the application. Their commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards while enabling innovation has been instrumental in reaching this milestone.

Receiving the UK’s first SAIL III Mark Certificate represents more than a technical certification. It is an important step towards a more scalable and repeatable regulatory framework for advanced uncrewed aircraft operations and reinforces Manna’s commitment to meeting the highest technical, operational and safety standards as we continue to expand our services.
