German-listed Deutsche Defence Beteiligungen AG acquires Singapore robotics pioneer Infinium in SGD30.6 million transaction
Homegrown autonomous drone specialist expands global reach through European listed platform
Infinium Robotics Pte. Ltd. (“Infinium”), a Singapore-founded logistics technology company specialising in AI-driven autonomous drone systems for warehouse and inventory operations, has been acquired by German-listed Deutsche Defence Beteiligungen AG (“DDB AG”) in a legally completed transaction valued at up to EUR20.5 million, equivalent to approximately SGD30.6 million.
The transaction involved the acquisition by DDB AG of 100% of Infinium Robotics’ 2,395,455 shares from its existing shareholders. The transaction was completed through the issuance of up to 20,548,847 new DDB AG shares at EUR1.00 per share.
Infinium Robotics CEO Jon Woon said the transaction marked a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion, positioning it to leverage European market access for further business development.
“This is an important step in strengthening our international footprint, particularly as demand for automation accelerates globally. By integrating into DDB’s German-listed platform, we are positioned to scale more effectively into new markets while enhancing our partnerships and capabilities,” he said in a statement released in Singapore.
Woon said the transaction was supported by an independent valuation and completed in compliance with German regulatory requirements. Formal announcements were made through official exchange channels and the Federal Gazette, Germany’s official journal for company and legal disclosures.
“This is a defining moment for Infinium as a Singapore-founded company scaling internationally. Our integration into a European listed platform reflects not only the maturity of our technology, but also the growing global demand for intelligent automation solutions originating from Asia,” he added.
Infinium Robotics specialises in AI-driven autonomous drone systems designed to automate warehouse inventory processes, a critical but traditionally manual function in supply chains. Its technology enables continuous inventory tracking, high-accuracy data capture, and real-time operational insights, helping businesses reduce reliance on labour-intensive processes while improving cost efficiency and operational performance.
Its flagship system enables 24/7 autonomous inventory tracking with minimal human intervention, significantly improving accuracy and operational efficiency for enterprises in logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
In Singapore, Infinium Robotics has built a strong local track record, with long-standing deployments supporting industrial and energy-sector operations in the country, with customer-reported cost savings of more than 80% in inventory stocktaking processes.
Furthermore, major international enterprises have adopted Infinium’s solutions, with customers reporting significant reductions in inventory counting time and costs, improved operational visibility, and enhanced workforce safety.
“With Europe being a key market for advanced industrial automation, our transaction with DDB AG allows us to deepen our presence where demand is both sophisticated and rapidly growing,” Woon added. “We see this as a key springboard to accelerate partnerships, deployments and long-term value creation across the region.”
“The Infinium team is optimistic about joining the DDB family. It is not only about entering new markets but also about building a stronger foundation for sustained growth,” Woon said.
“As industries evolve towards greater automation and data-driven operations, we are committed to delivering solutions that create tangible impact for our customers across continents.
“We have successfully deployed our solutions in Asia and Australia, and now, we are ready to serve the European market,” he added.
