Flylogix secures first offshore renewables contract

Under a new agreement with Offshore Solutions Group, Flylogix will use its state-of-the-art drones to deliver digital aerial wildlife surveys for the proposed Moray FLOW-Park in the Moray Firth.

Marking a major step in the company’s development, the work will support the project – which aims to provide temporary wet storage for floating wind foundations – to proceed with minimal impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

In order to support Flylogix’s continued expansion into offshore renewables, Energy Transition Zone Ltd‘s Challenge Fund recently awarded the company an initial £25,000, with further funding expected to follow.

Charles Tavner, CEO of Flylogix, said:
“This is a landmark contract for Flylogix, allowing us to take a meaningful next step in our ambition to support Scotland’s energy transition. Our objective is to replicate the quality of existing digital aerial surveys while reducing the cost, risk and environmental impact of delivering these services.
“We are hugely grateful to ETZ Ltd for their support which, combined with the contract from OSG, will go along way toward helping Flylogix set up in Scotland for the long-term.”
