1. Could you confirm if the police have any robust evidence of a drone incursion such as that which would be expected of a modern airport, including EO/IR video from counter drone or a police helicopter or other video device?
2. Have the police checked for false positive sightings as it has been noted that a small civilian aircraft OY-CDT flew over the airport around 400ft twice just minutes before the alleged drone was reported?

The Copenhagen Police has recently issued the following statement:

Update on Investigation of Incident Involving Unidentified Drones Over Copenhagen Airport

Following the reportings of the presence of three unidentified drones over Copenhagen Airport on the evening of Monday the 22^nd of September 2025, the Copenhagen Police can inform that an intense investigation and intelligence operation is being conducted to determine the motive and who was behind the drone flights.

The investigation is carried out in close cooperation with the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET), the military, and other national and international authorities. There may be intelligence-related information that we, due to obvious reasons, cannot share with the public, and we can currently neither confirm or deny specific details regarding our investigation.

As part of the investigation, we are conducting witness interviews, collecting physical and electronic evidence, as well as obtaining and reviewing CCTV and other video recordings. We have already received many recordings of Monday night’s incident from citizens. These recordings are part of our investigation, as well as other data concerning air traffic and the presence of ships in the area from which the drones may have launched or landed.

Additionally, in the past 24 hours, Copenhagen Police have received over 100 reports about drones and drone-like objects. We fully understand that an incident like Monday evening’s creates unease and has increased attention on drones and drone-like objects.

However, it is important for us to emphasize that citizens can feel safe knowing that, together with other authorities, we are working diligently to clarify the circumstances of Monday night’s incident and that people can feel secure moving around the airport area and the district of the Copenhagen Police.

The Copenhagen Police is currently not providing further comments or information on the matter of the investigation.
