U.S. Military Drone Dominance is Proven in Pendleton

In full alignment with the Secretary of Defense’s directive “Unleashing U.S. Military Drone
Dominance,” the Pendleton UAS Test Range (PUR) offers military units access to 14,000 square
miles of secure, low-traffic training and testing airspace in Northeast Oregon. With no red tape,
Pendleton is purpose-built for tactical drone training, rapid UAS development, and battlefield
assembly.

As America’s most turnkey UAS test range, having supported over 65,000 UAS operations,
Pendleton’s cutting-edge infrastructure, experienced staff, and proven track record help military
units build, test, and deploy drone capabilities quickly and cost-effectively. “Flexibility, security,
affordability, and speed are what make Pendleton stand out from the rest. Military units and
defense contractors come here because we remove the red tape and take the tedium out of testing
for operational success. Pendleton is where U.S. drone dominance is built, tested, and proven,”
said Steve Chrisman, Economic Development & Airport Director for the City of Pendleton.

In alliance with DelMar Aerospace, Pendleton now offers modular two-week UAS training courses
at the Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master levels. These include curriculum tracks in both general

sUAS and FPV drone operations that cover Part 107, ISR flight planning, swarm operations, counter-
UAS, GPS-denied navigation, and more. Each course is offered at a fixed per-person rate, making

training affordable, scalable, and repeatable. Lodging is available through local partners or at the
Oregon Army National Guard Rees Training Center. Custom training and R&D programs are also
available to match unit-specific mission profiles.

Pendleton is proud to support the Department’s mission to grow the domestic UAS manufacturing
base, power a technological leapfrog, and simulate the modern battlefield in a secure, discreet
environment. We’re ready to serve as a designated national UAS training range and a trusted
partner to commanders, accelerating drone readiness across the force.
