Leaping Wing – Assistant Drone/Thermal Surveyor
To meet increasing demand for our survey and inspection services, we are looking to recruit a new staff member with a passion for technology.
Assistant drone/thermal surveyor
Leaping Wing specialises in mapping, modelling and surveying using drones. We are now expanding with our new brand Sapiens providing heat loss surveys using thermal imagers, both ground-based and aerial.
We are looking for an ambitious and technically minded individual to assist across both brands with capture of data, including drone operations, and processing data sets for clients. Experience of drones and thermal imaging are not essential, but of course would be beneficial. Training will be provided where necessary.
Our ideal candidate will have
- good technical and IT abilities
- a clear aptitude for new technology
- confident presentation and communication skills including report writing
- enthusiasm to help drive forward an innovative small business
Experience or qualifications in measured/thermal survey and/or 3D modelling will be particularly useful.
Applicants will need to hold a UK driving licence. You will need to be able to work from our headquarters near Cowbridge in South Wales and be willing to work unpredictable hours. This is not a home working role.
The Finer Details
Basic salary
c.£2000/month, pay and hours depending on qualifications and experience
Initial length of contract
This role is initially a fixed-term (6 months) position, but with the expectation of transitioning to a continuing contract, subject to performance.
