Zephyr flies across America

Airbus Zephyr callsign Zulu 82 took off from the Yuma proving grounds on June 15th at 11z and has been airborne ever since, today it should reach the East Coast of America.

If my sums are correct as I type it has been in the air for 274 hours, well on the way to smashing the endurance record the type already holds set in 2010 of 336 hours. Will it return to Yuma or fly across the pond?

That was a Farnborough Airshow year, Farnborough is coming up next month.

Let us hope they are not denied a record as has happened before 2010 because of dodgy judging!

Good luck to all at the Zephyr team, I need to pop into town to buy some beers to toast coasting out.
