Consortiq is seeking to recruit a Unmanned Aircraft Qualification (UAQ) course instructor with an interest in the dynamic and rapidly growing drone industry. With a significant presence in the United Kingdom, we are establishing a foothold in the United States drone training and integrated drone solutions markets. As such, we are seeking applicants who share our core values and and can deliver polished UAQ courses for a variety of corporate and government clients. Near term recruitment efforts are focused on finding instructors on the east coast of the United States to teach courses in multiple locations, but we are accepting applications submitted from other locations due to the high probability of expansion in the next 1-3 years.

Position Details

Job Title – Unmanned Aircraft Qualification (UAQ) Course Instructor
Contract Term – Contractor – On Demand
Contract Hours – TBC
Academic Requirements – Part 107 sUas certified; FAA Part 61 certificate, desirable

Outline of Duties

In addition to performing the day-to-day duties associated with booking and administering our training
courses, the UAQ course instructor will also stay current on all changes to FAA regulations and
technological developments in the drone industry.. He or she will also maintain advanced proficiency in
flying drones.

Day to Day Responsibilities Include
• Regular communication with the chief instructor
• Collaborating with other instructors and flight assessors for course delivery and development
• Proactively taking steps to improve the quality of the course delivery and optimize student achievement
• Submitting expense reports monthly to financial manager
• Willingness to travel out of state at short notice is a significant asset

Personal Qualities

The candidate will possess exemplary communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Experience operating Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) or drones is required. In addition, a strong interest drone technology is preferred. The candidate should be ready for both the challenges and the extensive professional development opportunities associated with joining an early-stage startup that is slated for rapid near-term growth. The candidate should thrive in a close-knit team environment. We are looking for someone to take personal ownership of their responsibilities within the business and have an interest in enhancing the company’s bottom line, while facilitating the spread of its global footprint.
