Roy Minson Joins Adsys Controls Executive Team as General Manager and Executive Vice President

Adsys Controls has hired Roy Minson into the position of General Manager and Executive Vice President in Irvine, California. Minson joins Adsys Controls in this new role with emphasis on continuing historically strong company growth while maturing the product portfolio and broadening the customer base into new strategic directions.

Mr. Minson has over 30 years of experience spanning commercial and military aerospace, where he has held executive leadership roles for both large primes and smaller companies focused on emerging technologies. Having held senior positions most recently with AeroVironment (2010 through 2015), and prior to that with SAIC and Boeing, his executive experience base includes business unit general management, operations management, and business development leadership roles. Of particular note for Adsys Controls, whose strategic growth objectives are centralized around enabling technologies within the UAS market, Minson was instrumental in the growth of the AeroVironment UAS business unit for which he was the General Manager. During this time, top-line revenue grew to $250M with a strong commercial and government customer base including the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and other Government Agencies as well as over 30 international customers.

Prior to AeroVironment, Minson was an executive at SAIC and The Boeing Company. At SAIC, Minson was Vice President and Operations Manager for the research and development business within the Tactical Systems and Solutions division, where he was responsible for transitioning products and solutions. As a senior executive at Boeing, he led various business segments supporting DoD, DARPA, and government agencies. He was a key contributor to the development and capture of several large programs including Joint Tactical Radio Systems, Future Combat Systems, Combat Survival Evader Locater, and other classified programs.
