Westchester County Police said a drone was the source of a green laser light that shone at a plane Monday night.
Police said they found someone in Eastchester who had been flying the drone, but no crime had been committed.
The Federal Aviation Authority alerted authorities to the incident around 8:30 p.m. The plane that was hit with the light was flying over Westchester to LaGuardia Airport.
Police searched via ground patrol and helicopter.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a laser pointer shined into a plane can blind pilots.
