We just passed the fifth anniversary of these recommendation being given to the FAA by members of the small UAS ARC, yet we still wait for regulation. These are posted with the notion that they represent part of the history of the public rulemaking process. Everyone should read them and understand that the rules for the small UAS are purported to  be based on these recommendations, but will also be regulated by the standards published by the ASTM F-38. Those standards should be read by anyone who thinks that they have a chance in the U.S. industry as I have been told “that Chinese stuff ain’t going to fly.”
