UAS Foundation Training

This new division of Resource Group Ltd delivers foundation training for UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) operators and sensor payload operators. The scope of the training includes Nano, Micro and MALE UAV (Unmanned Air Vehicle) Systems and also covers Payload Operators for both manned and unmanned aircraft platforms. Delivery is by a combination of web-based and classroom based ground school and practical training using a combination of an advanced mission simulator and live flying using representative vehicles.

The pace of technological development has been such that training has been focused on the operation of individual systems. As the complexity of UAV systems (commonly called drones in the media) increases, it is vital to provide training in the fundamental techniques of system operation.  In that way, the capabilities of UAV Systems can be fully exploited by consistently trained, professional operators whose main focus is the successful and safe completion of their mission.
The Resource UAS training programmes are designed to meet both NATO and UK CAA requirements and are based on current best practice from both the military and civil environments. The training design also anticipates the licensing requirements that will be forthcoming from both the military and civil authorities.
Resource UAS has the ability to deliver optimum training solutions to give customers the edge in a competitive world.

Resource UAS offers a full range of courses from Foundation Training to Live Flying courses in a wide range of platforms.  Our training college in Cwmbran offers the very best in hi-fidelity simulator training, with dynamic terrain and Computer Generated Forces (CGF) management along with C2 and Communication simulation capabilities; while Cotswold Airport, Kemble allows the opportunity to practice Live Flying.

We are proud to be able to use some of the best simulators in the world and we strive to provide the most realistic and ‘in the field’ environments for our students.
The simulators greatly enhance the learning experience for students and play an integral role in the course study programme
.

Many of our students are training with us for weeks at a time and we try to make their stay with us as comfortable as possible.
Catering facilities are limited at our training facility; we have a microwave
oven where food can be heated. We also operate vending machines
where you can purchase a range of hot drinks, snacks and
fizzy drinks.
There is a restaurant on site at the Cotswold Airport, called Relish (AV8)
which you can visit during your lunch break. We also have a mobile
catering unit call by every day so you can purchase lunch and any snacks.
Located off site is a Public House called the Thames Head Inn and they
operate a pre-order option. A list will be available in the Student Restroom.
(At sUAS News we like the Tunnel House Inn just up the road as well! A fantastic area to train very pretty)
