Interesting Views From Inside the Iranian Republic

Earlier this month Iran stated that they would create a model of the RQ 170 Sentinel and send it back to Washington. The RQ 170 also known as the Beast of Kandahar went down behind enemy lines just before Christmas 2011.

President Obama said at the time “We’ve asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,”

Iran has responded, the models are hitting the streets. No doubt one is winging to Washington.

It would appear that we were all under the false impression that it was the Republican Guard that downed the RQ-170, but turns out it was some kids out having fun. No, not literally. I asked for some further clarification on the translation, and what came back was (sic) “it means that it is captured (not found) by

Coming to a Toys R US soon

young Iranian Muslims (referred to young Iranian engineers).” Thus, reinforcing the notion that the Iranian engineers were able to bring it down electronically or by some other means. Running counter to the claims of mechanical failure etc. A hotly debated notion, as these capabilities have come into question by folks in various engineering circles.

I don’t profess to be an expert on lost Imams (has the 12th arrived??), and other internal issues of the Republic, but the translation would suggest that the capture of the RQ-170 would confirm their suspicions in some sort of prophecy or they are just wringing every drop of propaganda out of that tea towel.

Again, not a security analyst, but funny what you are exposed to in the realm of UAS. Another example was the deck configuration of the Chinese pocket carriers. The giveaway was the AVIC Cup contest mission objectives. They described landing on a deck with a ski jump configuration several months before the first pictures of the finished craft surfaced.

This is an intriguing development as believers have been waiting for the Imam to show up with a bunch of implication and outcomes to follow?? All I know for sure is, I’d like to get me one of these models for the desk.

The student competition is almost over, and we should be seeing a report on how the teams did and all of the trials and tribulations that come out of such a robust challenge…
