Automated Target Detection for Full Motion Video at AUVSI 2011

Sentient to showcase latest developments and share deployment experiences

Melbourne,Australia–27 July 2011– Sentient today announced that it will showcase Kestrel Land MTI and Kestrel Maritime, its automated target detection software solutions for full motion video  (FMV) at AUVSI 2011 (WashingtonDC, 16 – 19 August 2011).

Kestrel, automating the detection of small targets in difficult environments – land and maritime – provides essential Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) support to Australian and Coalition operations.

Simon Olsen, Sales Lead at Sentient, will talk about Kestrel Land MTI’s contribution to the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF) Project NANKEEN in Afghanistan. As part of the AUVSI conference (Tuesday, 16th August at13:30) he will present how Kestrel Land MTI has become an integral part of the advanced Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) facility. “Kestrel Land MTI’s low risk, plug and play integration into the PED provided a perfect fit for the requirement. The software is a key intelligence asset.” Olsen stated.

Kestrel demonstrations, which are open to customers, media and partners, will take place at the Sentient Booth 2101.
