Developer release for CopterControl

The OpenPilot project is preparing its first hardware release. The open source autopilot project has been in existence for just over a year and has two platforms in development.

CopterControl is the next dimension in flight control. It has been designed from the ground up to be a true multi function device and has support for the following types of airframes:

Self leveling Multirotor controller supporting TriCopters, QuadCopters and HexaCopters.

Flybarless heli Controller, supporting rate mode but as the CopterControl also contains an accelerometer, it can also be used as an advanced training aid with self leveling features as well as hardcore 3D.

Self leveling for Fixed Wing aircraft

Besides flying aircraft, CopterControl is a very powerful general purpose MEMs 6DoF AHRS. It can easily be adapted to control and navigate other types of vehicles such as model trucks and boats.

The CopterControl contains a high performance STM32 micro controller, with ARM Cortex M3 32bit core running at 72Mhz and offering of 90 MIPs.

CopterControl has been designed by passionate hobbyists as nothing that is currently available came close to what they wanted, CopterControl is a huge game changer.
