NVdrones Releases NVsync, the First Automatic Flight Logging and Reporting App for DroneDeploy Users

NVdrones, a start-up that provides cloud-based software solutions for drone fleet management, today released a pioneering flight data automation app for App Market, the first drone industry app store created by DroneDeploy.

“Data automation is the missing piece in streamlining flight operations management,” said Kevin Mukai, co-founder of NVdrones, “NVsync in the App Market enables DroneDeploy users to automatically log flight data in NVDash as well as generate beautiful, comprehensive, flight reports, directly from the DroneDeploy dashboard.”

DroneDeploy users can install NVsync on their DroneDeploy dashboard to:

  • Automatically log DroneDeploy flights in NVdrones’ fleet management software, NVDash
  • Instantly generate a comprehensive flight report for every DroneDeploy flight directly from the DroneDeploy dashboard

NVdrones says one of the biggest pain points for a drone pilot lies in the manual nature of logging flights, whether that is writing data in a logbook, manually entering data into a piece of software, or uploading log files from the drone into cloud software. The NVsync app in the App Market is a massive step to solve this problem for their customers. In a few weeks the company will announce similar functionality for DJI GO.

“Serious commercial operators need comprehensive fleet management and analytics on flight operations,” said Nick Pilkington, DroneDeploy CTO and co-founder, “Collaborating with NVdrones has allowed us both to provide a more comprehensive experience to our customers.”

DroneDeploy is not the only company that NVDash is compatible with. A list of compatible systems includes multiple DJI 3rd party apps like Autoflight Logic, Maps Made Easy, and Litchi, as well as other manufacturers like Yuneec and Freefly. Once DJI GO automatic logging is incorporated, the company estimates 60% of commercial flight logs can be automatically logged with its fleet management system.

NVdrones is actively establishing relationships with software developers and drone manufacturers to establish automatic logging across the industry. If you are a software developer or drone manufacturer, you can reach out to NVdrones at hello@nvdrones.com to learn more about integrating with NVDash.

NVdrones also released today a substantial update to its Android app, available for free download in the Google Play Store. In addition to viewing real-time airspace information provided by AirMap and managing checklists, the update allows pilots to easily log checklists and flights within client projects for quick organization of flight operations.
