Kittyhawk Launching PREFLIGHT & PRO

It’s not just John “Hannibal” Smith that loves it when a plan comes together. This month we’re excited to announce two big launches: PREFLIGHT & PRO.

PREFLIGHT

One of our goals for Kittyhawk is to be the ultimate resource for pilots leading up to takeoff. This means being able to view real-time details about your drone fleet and batteries, run through a checklist, or scout a location. In our upcoming release of Kittyhawk for iOS (should be hitting the App Store in just a few days), we now give pilots a snapshot of local and geomagnetic weather.

Once you’ve had a chance to upgrade to v2.4 (which was yesterday for those of you that are part of Kittyhawk’s Test Flight ;), we’d love to hear your feedback. We have a lot more features planned around “preflight”, including airspace awareness, so we look forward to hearing a) what you like and b) what you’d like to see next in preflight.

KITTYHAWK PRO

A majority of the Kittyhawk community flies professionally, from freelance work to Section 333. Talking with many of you over the last few months, we know how important reporting is, as well as the ability to export and backup your flight logs — which is sometimes even required by different countries.

These are the areas we focused on in developing Kittyhawk Pro, a monthly subscription for commercial drone operators. Our first batch of invitees are already using Pro, and we’re opening up more invites in the coming days and weeks.
