Googles new project wing shape

Borrowing heavily on other projects Googles Project X team seem to have discovered transitions are hard and stable hover with so much vertical area to weather vane also difficult. The tail sitter has gone.

Anybody care to bet this is running a KK2 board and OpenAero VTOL firmware? Probably a Piccolo in there but we know Google stays close to Opensource.

A snip of video shared on twitter of an RPA flying in a netted area purports to be the next Google drone shape.

The only question in my mind then is ..   N102GT a B3 or N108GT an M2 ???

I’m calling BS on the 5 miles in 5 minutes unless they are special Google small miles. A forward speed of 52 knots seems out of reach for this platform. There are two tiny motors on the wings for forward flight and I am guessing they can’t drag it that quick.

The lowering payload delivery method is still evident, I’m not sure that’s the way. I get it that the difficult bit of landing at an unknown remote site is removed though.

Can they make the props park fore and aft like the Arcturus Jump?
