With the imminent ‘opening up’ of National Airspace (NAS) to civilian commercial UASs, the need for qualified, experienced and knowledgeable professionals in this field is critical. The Monarch™ Training Courses are designed to provide a thorough understanding of relevant aspects of UAS or Drone basics, maintenance, operations and tasking for commercial applications. The courses are modular to enable maximum targeting of knowledge, skills and attribute gaps within your organization, and to ease budgetary pressures. Monarch™ is specifically offering training in two phases for those who wish to learn to fly Drones in the commercial sector.

Phase 1 of this Training Program will be conducted in Ridgecrest, CA on Friday, February 27, 2015. This one-day course will be a pre-cursor to Phase 2 and will consist of the following topics:

• Drone Applications in the Commercial Sector
• Fundamentals of UAS or Drone Flight
• Safety and Regulations – FAA NAS Integration
• Airframe Types, GPS, Autopilots and Telemetry
• Payloads (Sensor Package)
• Mission Software

Cost of this one-day course is $400 and includes full day instruction (lunch included) and a field demo. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Course Completion, all Course material, including lecture notes, relevant literature, forms and complete presentations.

The Course Instructors are both UAS/Drone pilots with more than 50+ years of combined, relevant flight experience including Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), along with commercial UAS experience. One is a Test Pilot, one a Certified Flight Instructor.
