Sparton to Unveils New Technology in AHRS-8 Navigation Sensor at AUVSI 12

AHRS-8 is a MEMS-based attitude heading reference system. The AHRS-8 is individually calibrated over temperature and fully temperature compensated and serves to be the ideal navigation solution for challenging operating scenarios that need maximum precision. AHRS-8 extends the Sparton’s extensive series of navigation sensor solutions that have been specially engineered for catering to the stringent compliance of systems designer.

AHRS-8 features dynamic user sensor customization through the NorthTek Development System. The AdaptNav II adaptive algorithms ensure real-time optimization of navigation sensor efficiency within the fluctuating electro-magnetic and dynamic operating environments. AHRS-8 features True North heading output through the incorporated World Magnetic Model. Furthermore, it is fully temperature compensated and individually calibrated in an operating range of -40° to +70°C, delivering industry leading heading precision in a wide range of environments. This robust, fully encapsulated design includes accelerometer dynamic range and selectable gyro. It also features power management sleep mode capability of low power.

Sparton will be showcased at “Beyond the Showcase” on August 8. Live demonstrations will be performed for demonstrating the superior navigation sensor technology on August 7, 8, and 9. All through the show, Sparton will practically display the AHRS-8 in real operating environments.
