SMARTSHOOTER, a world-class designer, developer, and manufacturer of innovative fire control systems that significantly increase small arms’ accuracy, lethality, and situational awareness while reducing training costs, will present its SMASH family of fire control systems, including handheld-operated, remotely controlled, and UGV mounted systems, at the DSEI exhibition in London. The UK Ministry of Defense recently awarded SMARTSHOOTER through Viking Arms Ltd. a multi-year contract for the Procurement and Support of Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft System Smart Weapon Sight (CsUAS-SWS) via a Framework Agreement worth up to £20,000,000.
Providing dismounted soldiers with the ability to achieve a high probability of hit against micro and mini UAVs, SMARTSHOOTER’s SMASH technology enhances every mission’s effectiveness by increasing the Probability of Hit (PHit) against small UAS through ballistically calculated coincident shot release. Ideal for defence and CsUAS missions, the SMASH 3000 and SMASH X4 have clearly demonstrated that firers are able to successfully hit drone targets with a much higher PHit after only a short training.
Furthermore, SMASH technology provides unmatched precision to ground, maritime and Heli-Sniping targets during both day and night operations. The SMASH Fire Control Systems have completed rigorous trials and qualification processes of the highest standards and demonstrated firers nearly quadrupled their PHit Vs. in-service magnifying optical sight. SMASH family of fire control systems includes handheld operated, remotely controlled, and robotic systems, e.g., UGV, UAS, mounted systems that ensure precise hit capabilities, enhance forces’ situational awareness, and reduce costs by significantly lowering training burden in both range time and ammunition.
Michal Mor, SMARTSHOOTER CEO: “We are delighted to cooperate with Viking Arms Ltd. for this significant project. The SMASH precision fire control systems that revolutionize the dismounted combatants’ battlefield effectiveness are an ideal fit for the cUAS operational requirements of the British Army, providing a pin-point accurate kinetic interception capability that is not dependent on the user’s combat stress and, in fact, reduces their cognitive load.”
At the DSEI exhibition, SMARTSHOOTER will present rifle-mounted and remotely controlled solutions, including the SMASH 3000, SMASH Hopper Light Remotely Controlled Weapon System, and SMASH X4.
SMARTSHOOTER is a world-class designer, developer, and manufacturer of innovative fire control systems that significantly increase the accuracy and lethality of small arms.
With a rich record in designing unique solutions for the warfighter, SMARTSHOOTER technology enhances mission effectiveness through the ability to accurately engage and eliminate ground, aerial, static or moving targets during both day and night operations.
Designed to help military and law enforcement professionals swiftly and accurately neutralize their targets, the company’s combat-proven SMASH Family of Fire Control Systems increase assault rifle lethality while keeping friendly forces safe and reducing collateral damage. With a unique technology that makes it possible for every battlefield element to be connected with every other battlefield element, SMASH creates a micro-tactical network that dramatically enhances real-time situational awareness and ensures that the entire platoon shares a common operational picture.
The company’s experienced team of engineers combine electro-optics, computer vision technologies, real-time embedded software, ergonomics, and system engineering to provide cost-effective and easy to-use solutions for modern conflicts.
Fielded and operational, SMARTSHOOTER SMASH family of solutions provides end-users with a “One Shot – One Hit” capability across multiple mission areas, creating a significant advantage for the infantry soldier and ultimately revolutionizing the world of small arms and optics.
SMARTSHOOTER’s headquarters are based in Yagur, Israel, with a European subsidiary located in Düsseldorf, Germany, an American subsidiary in Maryland, and an Australian subsidiary in Canberra.
