Senior Technology Product Manager – Drones 

Digital, ETC  London, Bristol or Birmingham ( Flexible / Hybrid )

This high-profile role is critical for the growth of our drone solutions business. Working with cutting-edge technology in one of the UK’s most rapidly growing industries. You will play a leading role in the creation, development, and delivery of new drone services.  

The role requires someone with incredible critical thinking ability and who east analytics and logistics for breakfast. You will define BT’s product roadmap and drive innovation whilst enabling our teams and partners to meet emerging customer needs. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You will own UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) Drone flights.  
  • You’ll design strategic product roadmaps across your portfolio aligned to the wider drone strategy, driven by knowledge of the market and key customer engagement. 
  • Build brilliant relationships with internal teams, partners and suppliers as part of the solution to create amazing customer experiences  
  • Lead solution design and delivery from concept design to acceptance into sales/service and through to launch 
  • Support the sales and delivery team with customer trials, PoC’s, bids and pre-sales conversations. 
  • Responsibility for successful Identification and design of PoC’s/Trial’s with customers to prove out elements of roadmap build 
  • Create and maintain competitiveness of products in the market and evolve them to maintain/gain market share and increase P&L. 
  • Conduct market research and analyze market trends to identify new product opportunities 
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, balancing short-term and long-term goals  

We’ll also need to see these on your CV

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Product Management role 
  • Strong understanding of the aviation/drone market and industry trends 
  • Experience leading product development from concept to launch and beyond 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills 
  • A background in Aviation, Air Traffic Control, Logistics / software logistics at scale is desirable

  • Understanding of the strengths and gaps of our competitors, and the future needs of our customers. Deep understanding of driving competitive advantage through propositions and solutions. 
  • Experience of working with legal, procurement, security, service to ensure product is understood, supported and delivered effectively when in life.
