Garuda Aerospace deploys emergency delivery drones designed for Swiggy to support Assam flood rescue efforts

India’s largest drone start-up Garuda Aerospace has deployed White Knight Delivery Drones in Assam to support the state disaster management department’s rescue efforts amid the ongoing floods and landslide situation. “Garuda’s White Knight drones were used extensively during Covid pandemic lockdown to deliver medicines and emergency supplies in ISRO, Sriharikota and Varanasi smart city” said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace. The Drones are being used to deliver emergency food and medicines packets to survivors and victims.

Having served NDRF in Chamoli, Uttarakhand during the Glacier burst disaster last year, Garuda Aerospace pilots are well trained & have lots of operational experience to support rescue efforts.” said an official coordinating the rescue efforts.

Recently SWIGGY partnered with Garuda Aerospace for drone delivery of packages for their Instamart Dark stores and MS Dhoni has invested in the drone start-up as well

Garuda Aerospace has an advanced fleet management software which will also be used in the rescue efforts. The software, which was showcased in the Drone Yatra where Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched 100 Drones in 100 villages simultaneously across the country, is capable of remotely controlling drones. “Thanks to our government’s support and the ongoing Series A Fund Raise of $30 million, Garuda has 300 drones, over 500 pilots with pan India presence and are equipped to handle emergencies. We are duty-bound to serve our country during such calamities” concluded Agnishwar.
