UAVIA and Parrot have announced the availability of the UAVIA Inside version of the ANAFI Ai, which will broadly be available to UAVIA Robotics Platform Customers from June 2022.
This product integrates UAVIA DroneOS as the first ANAFI Ai flight mission created by external developers with Parrot AirSDK.
Parrot ANAFI Ai is the first 4G drone. It enables autonomous navigation, real time video streaming and remote management from the UAVIA Robotics Platform secure web interfaces.
The ANAFI Ai UAVIA Inside can complement the fleets of drones accessible from UAVIA cloud platform providing an unbeaten characteristics mix regarding weight, autonomy and 4K video performance.
This product launch opens new perspectives streamlining routine and emergency use cases in complex environments, enabling ubiquitous collaboration and a better understanding of the situation in the decision-making process.
Such a light and affordable product with best-of-breed performances and features made available through the joint efforts of two technology champions is a game changer which will participate in the generalization of drone usages in many industries.
The ANAFI Ai UAVIA Inside incorporates benefits from Parrot AirSDK, the first development software kit for autonomous drones. It allows developers to create flight missions. It provides a breakthrough technological architecture to load and run code directly on ANAFI Ai. Developers can program custom-designed flight missions with access to all drone sensors, connectivity interfaces, and autopilot features.
Thanks to Parrot AirSDK, UAVIA could integrate its DroneOS into the ANAFI AI allowing UAVIA Robotics Platform users to operate drone missions remotely, using 4G connectivity. Users can control the drone and the camera without being in the flight zone, and invite guests to participate in the mission in real time thanks to the video streaming feature of UAVIA DroneOS.
« Our collaboration with UAVIA is fully in line with the Parrot strategy regarding the open ecosystem we created around the ANAFI Ai. The UAVIA technology integration with our open software architecture is the perfect example of how a partner can complement and enhance efficiently the ANAFI Ai capabilities to address new market segments and extend professional usage », says Chris Roberts, Parrot’ Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.
« This collaboration is natural as UAVIA and Parrot share a similar vision of the connected drone and the way users expect to interact with them », adds Pierre Vilpoux, CEO of UAVIA. « This convergence was reinforced by the compatibility of the architectures of our respective products, and this full integration takes the autonomous drone to the next level ».
