Watts Innovations – Purchasing Manager
Watts Innovations is a young and fast-moving company in the Baltimore County, Maryland area, specializing in the design and manufacturing of drones. Our drones are used across the country by our customers for a wide variety of use cases such as movie filming, drone deliveries, construction site surveying, agricultural spraying, and more. We are actively growing our team and welcome your application!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies.
Responsibilities
- Procure parts and materials at negotiated rate
- Develop a supply and production plan to ensure timely delivery to our customers
- Create and monitor the performance of the purchasing strategy
- Oversee and support our purchasing staff
Qualifications
- A strong background in the purchasing of technical components. Anyone coming from a background in electronics, automotive, industrial, computing, or even drones would be ideal
- 3 – 10 years’ of purchasing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Quickbooks and Excel is a must
