Established in 2015, Flylogix have recently won multiple projects with some very well-known companies and have also secured significant funding to rapidly expand the company.

What do we need?

Our Controls and Communications team provides a compact flight control system for our unmanned aircraft that is securely linked to our Skyspace command and control system that allows our pilots to operate our aircraft remotely.

Who do we need?

We are looking for a communications engineer to help develop our terrestrial and over-the-air command and control links.

You will be confident in developing network solutions using Linux and understand the challenges of variable latency on over-the-air links.  You should have experience in a programming language such as Python or C++.

Your role would involve:

·    Designing the communications architectures between the autopilot, the on-board gateway and Skyspace, as well as additional systems such as the VOIP and camera systems

·    Optimising the use of the over-the-air bandwidth in terms of latency and cost

·    Working with the Software Team to ensure secure and reliable links

·    Developing network configuration and application code for the onboard gateway 

·    Writing test requirements for the communications systems

The company operates out of super modern, purpose-built offices at the Fareham Innovation Centre which looks out over The Solent Airfield. You’ll be working with Engineers who have rich, successful careers from industries such as F1. 

The company enjoys a Hybrid remote working scheme (3/2) for positions that lend themselves to this type of flexibility, but full time remote working isn’t possible at this time.
