UK – FlightShows recruiting
FlightShows are a leading provider of swarming drone light shows in the UK. As our company rapidly expands, we require some amazing people to join our small team with one goal – safely entertaining audiences all around the UK with the most spectacular drone shows.
Currently, all roles listed are on a freelance basis, where selected candidates will be fully trained in advance and jobs offered as required.
We require experienced UAS/drone pilots to join our rapidly expanding freelance team.
The role will involve safely operating drone swarms on a freelance basis using your extensive experience and knowledge of CAA regulations, unmanned aircraft systems and your flying experience, in order to safely deliver incredible drone light shows to audiences all over the UK and beyond. No previous swarming experience is required as full training is provided.
As this role is on a freelance basis, selected candidates will be fully trained in advance and jobs offered as required.

Your responsibilities:
- Assist Swarm Support Crew with assembling vehicles, batteries and the ground control station.
- Fly drone swarms as either RP1 or RP2 dependent on experience.
- Stay up to date with CAA UAS regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs.
- Be prepared to travel throughout the UK.
Minimum requirements:
- Current GVC certificate
- Have at least 100 hours of flying experience on a quadcopters
- Have understanding of the principles of operation of UAS.
- Be professional, calm and detail orientated person.
- Operate to the highest aviation safety standards.
- Be willing to learn and continue to develop within a quickly changing industry.
- Be organized.
- Work well in a small team.
With no aviation experience required, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly expanding team of people delivering incredible drone shows to audiences all over the UK. We are looking for people from all areas of the UK to build a list of freelancers available nationwide.
Your responsibilities:
- Assist Remote Pilots with assembling vehicles, batteries, the ground control station and the take-off and landing area.
- Manage charging of batteries and accurately logging the information.
- Be prepared to speak up about safety-related issues.
Minimum requirements:
- A keen interest in drones and technology
- A basic technical knowledge of power, batteries etc.
- Ideally have a hobby or professional drone-flying background.
- Be willing to learn and continue to develop within a quickly changing industry.
- Be organized.
- Work well in a small team.
To keep up with the demand for our shows, we require more skilled animation freelancers familiar with Blender to create spectacular drone shows.
Your responsibilities:
- Working closely with the client to realise their show design within the technical and safety limits of the drones.
- Creating exciting, fresh and dynamic drone shows that you will then see in real life!
