Drone-in-a-Box automation software FlytNow announces support for DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced

FlytBase has announced that FlytNow, their flagship drone-automation software, is now fully compatible with the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced (M2EA) drone. This makes FlytNow one of the first drone software applications in the industry to offer support for this advanced drone platform.

The DJI Mavic series has long been one of the most popular prosumer drones in the
market for its consistent performance and affordability. The new M2EA is its most
powerful model yet, with higher-resolution thermal & visual cameras, centimeter-level
positioning with RTK, and extra long-range connectivity, among other industry-leading features. Integrating this drone with FlytNow can help eliminate operational errors, reduce costs, manage risks, and drive efficiencies in use cases such as security, asset inspection, and work progress monitoring.

The support for the M2EA translates across all FlytNow offerings for autonomous UAV
operations.

Overview of FlytNow

FlytNow is a modular, cloud-based software solution for automating and remotely
controlling drones for workflows that involve the continuous collection, storage, and
transfer of live data from massive sites and facilities that are often located in remote
areas. The compact and lightweight M2EA is an excellent device for adoption with
FlytNow for effective automation of these operations.

FlytNow Auto

FlytNow Auto focuses specifically on providing an extensive set of software capabilities for complete drone-in-a-box (DiaB) automation. It can connect with a wide range of drone nests and UAVs, and provides easy integrations with 3rd party software such as VMSes and UTMs.

Using FlytNow Auto, users can enable their fleet of drones to livestream and record HD video of their sites by planning and scheduling repeatable, autonomous missions. Once a mission is planned, every action—from the opening/closing of the box canopy, drone flights, and data capturing, to the precise landing of the drone on the charging pad—is automated.

During a mission, users can control the drones, payloads, and docks and receive
instantaneous telemetry and video updates. Effectively, FlytNow Auto eliminates the
need for onsite ground operators during missions, thereby increasing personnel safety and operational efficiency.

FlytNow Live

FlytNow Live is designed for performing teleoperations using hybrid drone fleets. It
allows businesses of all sizes to remotely add, control, and manage multiple drones and view HD video and telemetry feed over 4G/5G/LTE at ultra-low latency. With the user-friendly dashboard, complex waypoint-based missions can be executed and monitored simultaneously. Thermal cameras, loudspeakers, and spotlights can also be controlled effortlessly using onscreen controls.

Multiple safety features are baked into the design, including advanced failsafe and
geofence configurations, DJI’s collision-avoidance module, and secure (E2E-encrypted) communication between the drone and dashboard.

About FlytBase

Founded in 2016, FlytBase, Inc., a Silicon Valley startup, has built the world’s first Internet of Drones (IoD) platform, providing drone agnostic software solutions to automate and scale drone operations. FlytBase offerings are compatible with major drone hardware platforms (e.g., DJI, Ardupilot) and come with SDKs, simulators, and APIs for reliable testing and seamless integration. FlytBase was a part of Cisco’s accelerator program and was recognised as the Grand Champion at the NTT Data’s Global Innovation Contest.
