UK Industry to Get Lowdown on Latest Tech from Robotics and Automation Sector

The Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (RAI) Industry Showcase returns virtually on 25 – 27 May 2021 to once again give UK industry the chance to understand the latest in industrial robotics and AI innovation.

The three-day online event, organised by KTN, is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from across all industries and will feature over 50 innovation and research-driven exhibitors on a virtual show floor.

Attendees will be able to learn about the very latest in robotics and AI technology applications and how they could be adapted to serve different sectors from healthcare to defence and manufacturing to agrifood, while exhibitors will have the chance to connect with potential customers, collaborators, and investors.

Marie Emerson, Robotics Knowledge Transfer Manager at KTN, says: “Industry, business and society priorities have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus is now on maintaining necessary services such as feeding the global population, keeping individuals healthy and safe, and maintaining economic stability. Organisations in sectors from healthcare to agriculture, and all those in between, are waiting for technology to create efficiencies and solutions for a more resilient, safer, and sustainable future, but those technologies may already exist in other sectors or the excellent UK research base.

“The RAI Industry Showcase is about exploring the potential for robotics and AI to have greater positive impact in all reaches of industry and society, and connecting the best people to make it happen. It will celebrate advances in robotics and the AI that drives it, whilst highlighting the role of these technologies in driving recovery post-COVID and beyond. It will not simply show potential users the possibilities open to them, but it will also connect innovators with new partners and new opportunities, accelerating ambitious ideas into real-world solutions.

“We’re really excited to deliver an inspirational event that convenes the UK’s vibrant RAI community, with anyone wishing to use or invest in robotics and AI. Whilst we’ll all miss meeting people face-to-face, the online format enables us to feature fantastic demonstrations of innovative tech from all over the country that simply couldn’t be done inside a typical conference venue.”
