EASA – Flying a Drone professionally – Find out what is important for your business

Virtual event – Information session on Drones

Date & time

10/12/2020, 11:00 – 12:00 (CET). Drones Live streaming session for Commercial Users.

Description

The new European Drone regulation users is coming into force at the end of December 2020. Drone operations, either for commercial or leisure purposes, will be subject to the same conditions across Europe.

Flying a drone commercially has an incredible business potential. The drones industry will create many benefits for our communities and has the opportunity to grow significantly over the coming years. To keep everyone safe and to make sure we share the airspace with everything else that flies, it is important that the whole drone’s community understands the new drone rules, regardless whether you fly as a hobbyist (as we will see during the session on the 9 of December) or you operate your drone as part of a business (for e.g. film making, crops dusting, etc.).   During this streaming session EASA will focus on the needs of those of you who fly drones professionally as part of a business.

There is a lot of jargon, technical terms and other aspects to attend to when it comes to developing a professional business with a drone or fleet or drones: registering the drone operator, training the remote pilots, the risk assessments, how to apply to conduct certain operations, operating in different countries, etc. Flying a drone for a commercial purposes needs demystifying! This session will help you understand how to fly safely a drone for work in Europe.

Find out what is important for you to remember to be a good remote pilot and a drone operator. What is changing about how you fly your drone? Do you have questions that need an answer? This event is for you!
