Flock – Senior Marketing Manager – B2B

Fantastic opportunity for an energetic senior marketing professional at one of London’s most exciting Insurtech startups. We are looking for an exceptional person to support the achievement of strategic business goals across our expanding B2B & B2C product suite.

You will lead the marketing function, creating strategic marketing plans and delivering tactical communications for new and established products. You will report directly into the company founder, and be a trusted collaborator and leader to cross-functional peers including strategic project managers, product, data, sales, and tech teams.

About you

  • 6+ years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role (marketing manager or above), ideally in both B2B and B2C environments
  • Previous experience managing and coaching junior marketing employees
  • Demonstrated ability to develop impactful marketing strategies for new and established products
  • Proven experience building sales tools, including whitepapers, that drive leads and enable sales teams to achieve higher conversion rates
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns across above and below the line marketing channels, with a focus on digital mediums (PPC, digital display, social media) and PR
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience of writing highly effective and engaging content
  • Ability to manage conflicting requirements and switch and prioritise between tactical and strategic initiatives
  • High commercial awareness, with a track record of making data-driven decisions
  • Marketing experience in technology, insurance, or financial services preferred

Key Responsibilities

  1. Play a key role in our short and long-term growth strategy, including the development of marketing and PR strategies and implementation of tactical B2B & B2C campaigns to drive company sales and revenue targets
  2. Create the positioning, messaging, and promotional strategy for new and established products, working with the product team and project owners to develop value propositions that resonate with specific buyer personas
  3. Become the subject matter expert for each of the identified product end users, understanding their buying criteria, pain points and motivations
  4. Build out a core set of content across the sales funnel that helps the sales teams articulate the value proposition and exceed conversion targets, including case studies, customer testimonials, whitepapers, videos and other materials to drive lead generation
  5. Work with the CEO to develop the Flock brand strategy and assets to differentiate Flock within the global market
  6. Deliver regular campaign performance and value equation reporting to the leadership team

  • Previous experience in a highly regulated sector
  • Marketing experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products
  • Advanced knowledge of CRM and email tools (such as Hubspot and
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Amplitude)
  • Hands on usage of graphic design tools (such as Illustrator, Sketch etc)
  • Previous experience working directly with a product or tech team
  • Previous experience developing an internal communications programme
  • Experience with public speaking (e.g. speaking on stages at conferences)
  • Experience working at a small startup
  • BA or BS in marketing, business or related field

You will ideally be available to commence work from the beginning of August 2019
