Dronecloud select Altitude Angel as strategic data partner

London, UK:  Altitude Angel, a world-leading aviation technology company, has today announced it is to become the geodata supplier to drone operations management platform Dronecloud.

Altitude Angel’s GuardianUTM airspace management platform will be used to power Dronecloud with accurate, real-time and relevant geospatial data for European and USA territories. Altitude Angel replaces AirMap, which was used during the beta test phase, and will further supply Dronecloud as it rolls out the platform globally.

Dronecloud is a brand-new cloud solution launching in June 2019. The platform represents a world first by unifying industry-leading compliance workflows with real business tools required to run and grow a successful drone operation in one platform.

Toby Potter, Altitude Angel, VP Sales and Partnerships, said: “We are excited Dronecloud has chosen to integrate our GuardianUTM API into its innovative platform ahead of its rollout across Europe, the United States and beyond.

“GuardianUTM makes it easy for innovators, like Dronecloud, to incorporate real-time, high-quality and accurate data into their applications. This allows our customers to focus on what’s important to them, delivering high-quality applications to drone operators.”

Dave Bush, Dronecloud, Director, added: “Partnering with Altitude Angel is a natural step for us. The team at Altitude Angel shares the same entrepreneurial values backed up with a track record of real innovation and an ambitious vision for the future of the industry. We want our customers to be as well informed as possible and by integrating Altitude Angel data into our compliance workflow we know they will be getting the best possible data in the air and on the ground. The future is also looking bright with the expansion of GuardianUTM which provides real-time air traffic integration allowing our customers to engage with a world-leading UTM system.”

Altitude Angel is committed to remaining the world’s foremost UTM and drone management platform by continually expanding and refining its core services to enable its customers to do more, safely, with drones.

Altitude Angel is an aviation technology company delivering solutions which enable the safer integration and use of fully automated drones into airspace. Through its Airspace Management platform, GuardianUTM O/S, they deliver the essential software platform which enable national deployments of USpace compatible services, safely unlocking the potential of drones and helping national aviation authorities and air navigation service providers to establish new services to support the growth in the drone industry.

The foundation components of GuardianUTM O/S are also available to enable third-party UTM developers to incorporate enterprise-grade data and services into their UTM solutions.

About GuardianUTM:

GuardianUTM enables drone manufacturers and software developers to connect into a rich, dynamic source of accurate, authoritative and relevant information to support geofencing, while offering enhanced UTM capabilities such as a single interface to multi-country flight authorisation.

The system is being deployed by NATS, the UK’s main air navigation service provider, and was demonstrated as part of ‘Operation Zenith’ in 2018, offering enhanced airport safeguarding and automated approvals to fly in controlled airspace. Altitude Angel is now bringing online functionality to enable drone pilots anywhere in the world to get 1-click access to controlled airspace.

It’s companion product, GuardianUTM O/S, supports all the functionality required to deliver national-grade drone traffic management capabilities to any country that wishes to safely unlock the potential of drones.
