BAAM Tech PPK system for DJI

BAAM Tech PPK system for DJI

BAAM Tech releases their new PPK system for the DJI Phantom for $2,500 installed on the Phantom 4. The system is designed to streamline the mapping process and reduce cost significantly. On top of eliminating control points, the GPS slides in and out of the aircraft and the same unit can be used in other aircraft, or BAAM Techs own PPK Rover unit to set checkpoints. The rover unit only costs an additional $750 when using the PPK card from the Phantom. Replacing the need for $40,000 GPS equipment.

The GPS is more advanced and reliable than many of the current PPK systems as it has L1/L2, GLONASS G1/G2, BeiDou B1/B2, Galileo E1/E5b and SBAS constellations. This establishes a link faster, typically under a minute, and is much less likely to lose its link in turns.

BAAM Tech plans releases for other DJI aircraft including the Inspire, and the X4S gimbal in the coming months.

The PPK system is also designed to work with any camera equipped with a hot shoe, and BAAM Tech has integrator plans for aircraft manufactures.
