Wingtra and SITECH partner to supply VTOL drones in Louisiana

Wingtra, the Swiss drone company that manufactures the VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drone WingtraOne, has signed a reseller agreement with SITECH Louisiana, an authorised Trimble distribution partner in Louisiana.

“We thoroughly evaluated all the popular professional surveying drones but only the WingtraOne offers the high data accuracy and usability that our customers request” – commented Layne Meylain from SITECH Louisiana.

“SITECH Louisiana is well known for their commitment to drones and their high product standards so we are very happy to have gained them as our distribution partner for Louisiana”, stated Justus Bamert, head of Sales for the US at Wingtra.

WingtraOne takes-off and lands as a multicopter but flies in the air as a fixed wing aircraft. This technology eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, lets the drone carry heavier and thus better sensors and still allows mapping of large areas.

The new PPK (post process kinematics) upgrade allows the WingtraOne to reach new level of accuracy. With the high-end Sony RX1RII and state-of-the-art PPK system, WingtraOne reaches an absolute accuracy down to 0.4 in without any ground control points.

Wingtra develops, produces and commercializes high precision VTOL drones that collect survey-grade aerial data. Wingtra entered the market in early 2017 and has been selling globally ever since. Recently the company has raised additional $5.8M to meet the demand in 2018 and partnered with biggest surveying equipment dealers across the globe. www.wingtra.com
