With a wingspan of only 2.4m (7.9ft) and a length of 2.0m (6.6ft) it is smaller than many cars.
It profits of a hybrid propulsion system with 4 electric motors and a combustion engine. But the most outstanding feature is the ability for silent vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL). Thus enabling takeoff and landing on any flat surface – no runway needed.
To achieve maximum safety the Dart will use the patent-pending fail-safe electric propulsion system, that Ray Research AG has developed for the long-range VIP Ray aircraft.
