DR1 Racing, the premiere international drone racing organization, today announced the company’s flagship drone racing series, the DHL Champions Series Fueled by Mountain Dew, will debut on beIN SPORTS October 19th, with the series Finals airing on CBS Sports on November 4th at 1:30pm EDT. This will be the first ever drone racing program to appear on either CBS or beIN.
With the addition of CBS and beIN, DR1’s DHL Champions Series fueled by Mountain Dew will become the most watched drone racing series in the world. CBS and beIN now join Eurosport (premieres Nov 2nd), Fox Sports, and Twitch.tv in broadcasting the skyrocketing sport of DR1 drone racing to over 100 countries around the world.
Brad Foxhoven, CEO and Founder of DR1 states, “These two network partners demonstrate the rapid growth of DR1 drone racing. beIN is a world class sports network and CBS is a broadcasting icon. DR1 will now be reaching virtually every home in the United States, a first for DR1 and a first for the sport of drone racing.”
The global racing series consists of five top drone racing teams competing in six races in epic outdoor locations around the world—the iconic Trona Pinnacles and The Mojave Bone Yard in California, a three-dimensional skyscraper race in Bonn, Germany, Ireland’s historic Bunowen Castle and Spike Island, and concluding with the Series Finals on the iconic cliffs of the Isle of Man.
