Commercial UAS Startup at Airbus

Airbus is creating a new startup in the commercial unmanned aircraft space focused on services and are seeking experienced professionals to join this new group. The key technologies for this group include a customer-facing data portal and drone services cloud platform used to enable the scaled operations of drone pilots and services companies around the world.

Software Engineer – Full Stack

The ideal candidate would have experience in building high quality customer facing APIs and front-end web development, with a proven ability in developing and maintaining responsive web applications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product team to understand requirements and build customer facing Portal and high quality backend APIs.
Own operation of services: measuring performance, and being responsive to production issues.
Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and other technical discussions.
Must Haves

Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code in microservice environments.
Three (3) years experience in any of Java, Javascript, or Python programming languages are preferred.
Good REST API design sensibilities.
Good Linux skills.
Experience in Git as source code management system.
Familiarity in at least one of the relational database systems (Postgres or MySQL)
Familiarity in building web applications using modern Javascript framework and tooling such as AngularJS 2, Node JS, Webpack and Grunt.
Experience working with Agile, Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD.
Preferred Skills and/or Experience:

Familiarity with GCP, AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI specification.
Familiarity with geo-spatial data, satellite imagery, and remote sensing is a plus.
