Henderson, NV) Praxis Aerospace Concepts International (PACI) has expanded their services
from commercial to federal and signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Nevada National Security Site’s (NNSS) management and operating contractor, National Security Technologies (NSTec). With this CRADA, PACI has added a new division within that can handle federal accounts and services. With over four successful years of developing commercial endeavours, the team welcomes many opportunities with this expansion to the federal level.

In the past, PACI has made several notable contributions to the commercial world of aerospace, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and other robotics. Utilisation of this CRADA will allow PACI and the NNSS to collaborate on projects involving the development, operations, and integration of virtual hardware and software technology with unmanned aerial and ground systems. With the extensive knowledge, experience, and innovation found at PACI, the benefits will be mutually rewarding for all those involved. Focus will be on
advancing the processes and procedures, techniques, and infrastructure for near and far-reaching technologies. This will also include counter measures involving UAS, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS), Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM), and Command and Control (C2) of Robotics.

In addition, this CRADA benefits the NNSS by advancing the Research and Development of unmanned system processes, procedures, techniques, and infrastructure. The focus will initially include the development of first responder UAS training to detect chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive agents using realistic scenarios while advancing the research and development for the next generation of unmanned platforms for
governmental use. This will also allow the investigation of how to properly integrate unmanned into the existing manned aviation portfolio used for missions at the NNSS.

PACI specializes in UAS and looks forward to contributing to the successes of this program, especially at the federal level. With access to the emergency response expertise resident at the NNSS, as well as access to NNSS facilities, PACI will be equipped with the best tools and teams for use of research, development, and the ability for proving state-of-the-art cutting-edge unmanned systems.

With the consistent amount of challenges, opportunities, and accomplishments over their years, the team at PACI anticipates this to be an excellent foundation for future advancements. Having the ability to expand their knowledge and expertise of UAS to the federal level will not only benefit the government, but also the US taxpayers by equipping the necessary teams to better protect the U.S. and its citizens.
